Graduating with a B.S. in Clinical Dietetics, Tamus spent five years as a registered dietitian before obtaining a position as a medical transcriptionist after her first child was born. She, then, spent the next 14 years transcribing and editing physicians’ reports. During this time, she began homeschooling her three children, which she continues to do to this day.
After having quit her job as a transcriptionist when she moved to sunny Florida, Tamus began looking for an avenue for her love of language and writing. She has been able to write product reviews and informational articles which have been published online, as well as unit studies for homeschoolers. She is also working on her first novel.
She is thrilled to have the opportunity to use the skills she has acquired over the years to edit and encourage other authors in their journey, as she is aware of the time and effort that goes into producing a great book. Her favorite genre is historical fiction but is willing to edit other genres. She prefers the heat level to be on the mild side.

A happy accident led to Sharon’s degree in English Lit from Austin College, a small liberal arts college in North Texas. She didn’t start off intending to major in literature, but as it turned out, it wasn’t quite the accident (or the catastrophe) her mom thought it was.
As a writer, Sharon has worked on three novels and numerous articles covering everything from disaster preparedness for seniors to artist profiles to San Miguel de Allende’s diminishing aquifers. She is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, the Houston Writers Guild, and Brazos Writers.
In the ten years Sharon has been editing, she’s developed a penchant for vibrant characters in big trouble, intriguing settings, and well-executed plots, particularly in the historical and sci-fi genres. Build a world that sweeps the reader away on a journey that can’t be put down and you’ll have Sharon’s attention.
