Kristi Lea’s debut brings us a passionate story about two people who are trying to define their lives as individuals only to realize that they were on the wrong path.
Helmut Forrester was not only the Chief Financial Officer for Sheffield & Fox many considered him the next head of the company. When James Sheffield stepped down everyone was surprised by the announcement of his daughter as the new Chief Executive Officer. Helmut was used to rolling with the punches and playing the field so this news didn’t deter him from making a play for Claire. His buddy Ben even upped the ante with a huge bet.
Claire Sheffield left a company she had started with her philandering exfiancée. Now she looked forward to a fresh start and a chance to show her father her true worth as a business woman. Being retired will not keep James Sheffield from putting in his two cents and she has to be on her toes to stay ahead of him. Not to mention keeping her mind on business with the sexy Helmut. Does she need a playboy in her life now?
Claire and Helmut think that their lives revolve around business and nothing else. The journey they take will show them life is more than a balance sheet if they are willing to risk their hearts and what they had previously thought was the number one goal in life.
